    About the role

    We are looking for a Global Director of People and Culture to lead, develop and implement our global People and Culture strategy.

    Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), this is a new role within Trócaire and, in partnership with the organisation, will ensure that we have a supportive and inclusive global work environment that enables every member of staff to deliver to their highest potential and to grow within the organisation.

    Our new Director of People and Culture will be a senior leader within the development/humanitarian sector, with a proven track record of strategy formulation and delivery, experience leading a people function in complex and fragile operating environments, proven experience in talent development across a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds, and demonstrable success in implementing equity, diversity and inclusion work.

    An excellent communicator across multiple cultural contexts, you will demonstrate strong listening, influencing and coaching skills; empowering and motivating others to innovate, lead change and achieve impact. You will work collaboratively with others to achieve appropriate solutions to complex problems, often in a dynamic and changing environment, supported by data-driven decision-making.

    Alongside this, you will bring a strong commitment to global social justice and an alignment with the mission and values of Trócaire.

    APPOINTMENT DETAILS

    Location: Island of Ireland (Maynooth or Belfast), Kenya (Nairobi) or Great Britain.

    Salary and benefits: Salary based on the location of the applicant.

    Ireland: €90-100k gross p.a

    UK: £75-85k gross p.a

    Kenya: 12-14 million KSh gross p.a

    National terms and conditions will be offered and the right to work in a candidate’s location is required.

    Contract duration: Fixed term- four (04) years
