Senior Leadership and Management
Chief Financial Officer
About Friendsview
Quakers (also known as Friends) are often credited with opening the very first continuing care retirement community (CCRC) over 100 years ago.
With our Quaker heritage, Friendsview has continued this tradition as the only privately owned, not-for-profit Type A Life Plan Community in the state of Oregon. And from our very first day to today, we are committed to being a community that values dignity, compassion, and excellence. In our 63 years of operation, we’ve remained true to our initial mission with local leadership that have kept us financially stable as we grow our community.
Friendsview’s campus has recently expanded with the addition of several new multi-level facilities, and we are looking to fill the key role of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
This leadership role oversees both daily operations and long-term financial planning, supervises business office staff, and provides critical financial analysis to the Executive Director, leadership team, and Board of Directors. Reporting to the Executive Director, the CFO will lead budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance while ensuring seamless integration of accounting systems with other organizational platforms.
We are seeking a professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred), 5-10 years of progressive financial management experience, and at least three years in a supervisory role. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, financial analysis, and compliance is essential, along with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and PointClickCare. Experience in non-profit or Life Plan Community (CCRC) financial operations is preferred.
This role requires a collaborative, data-driven leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights for a variety of stakeholders. Equally important is a commitment to our organization’s mission, values, and philosophy, fostering a culture of integrity, stewardship, and servant leadership.
